Why does my battery keep dying overnight iphone

If your iPhone battery drains overnight, you should act immediately. There are many circumstances in which this problem can occur. There can be many reasons for it, but the most important one is a software update.

I have noticed that the battery drains quickly after an iOS update. Even when my phone was idle overnight, I woke up to a dead battery. This situation requires some troubleshooting.


Normally, my iPhone's battery drains between 10 and 15 percent overnight; however, when that percentage reaches 25 to 30 percent, it's time to raise an issue. Before you head to the option of replacing your battery, check out these tips and tricks to fix a dead iPhone battery.

1) Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data on your iPhone.
Your iPhone often sits idle overnight. To take it a step further, disconnect your device from Wi-Fi or your cellular connection. To turn off Wi-Fi, go to Settings → Wi-Fi → Turn off Wi-Fi.

You can also turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data from Control Center. Swipe down from the top right corner of the iPhone screen (or up from the bottom center of the screen if you're using an iPhone with a home button) to turn off Wi-Fi or mobile data.

2. Turn off Bluetooth when not in use.
Do you listen to music or podcasts on your iPhone through your Bluetooth headphones during the day? If you leave Bluetooth on overnight, you could lose a few percentage points of battery life.

Disconnect the Bluetooth speaker or headphones from the iPhone. If you're not using your Apple Watch, you can also turn off Bluetooth on your phone.
